Wifi Extender Speed Increase

Hi All, 

I currently have Gig1 Fibre. The hub is getting around 1150 mbps to the router and i get around 760 odd on my phone whilst in the living room.

I'm currently using a TP link in my outdoor office. 

The first link is connected by an Ethernet cable then out in my office the second link is also connected with an ethernet cable but im only getting download speeds of around 50 mbps.

Virgin are sending me one of their extenders to try but im not great with technology. 

any advice would be much appreciated.

What TP-Link model number is it ?

Seeing about 50Mb/s would be quite usual from TP-Link PLA of the AV500 / AV600 type.
Ignoring speed tests, for emails & office admin work / Zoom / Printing etc that 50Mb/s might work fine.
I find the difference between 50 and 500Mb/s is imperceptible in online banking & the like.

I'm unclear how the VM Pod ( a Wi-Fi Repeater ) will work as would need to be located about half way between the VM Hub and your garden office.    That may put it out in your garden without power but with plenty of weather !

yeah it works fine for every day use. However, I'm trying to download games on steam for my newphew to use the VR.

haha! will need some sort of extension lead and display box for it.
