PC connects to Hub rather than pod that's closer

My computer is connected to the hub rather than the pod, even though the pod is much closer and would result in faster speeds. How do I force my computer to switch to the Pod please? I refuse to believe that in 2025 this is not something that can be done.

This is very easily solved with a retail Wi-Fi Repeater that extends the Wi-Fi on a different SSID.

VM Pods don't offer this option, so correct placement i.e. mid way between the VM Hub and the computer
is the only option available to try and bring the VM Pod into use.

Thanks for your reply. Surely this is a huge flaw in the design of these pods?! My pod is exactly halfway between the hub and my PC - it makes no sense to me that my PC chooses the hub and I can’t configure this.

You mentioned you are on a PC.

Some PC WiFi adapters will have a setting called "Roaming Aggressiveness" in the driver's settings.

I would try adjusting this setting if your WiFi adapter supports it. It may help or it may not, could be worth a try.

Right-click Start, select Device Manager.
Then under Network Adapters double-click your WiFi Adapter.
Go to the Advanced tab and look for a setting called "Roaming Aggressiveness" or "Roaming Sensitivity".
