Hi, hoping someone can help.
We have a hub 5 that we are having to reboot at least once a day. The hub speed on the checker says it is good but we are not getting wifi. A speed test gives download speed of less than 1mbps. Upload speeds seem OK. This is the same with the ethernet connected PC. Really affecting being able to work from home.
Thanks

Go get a better router with 1Gb ports and use hub in modem mode
also new cables

From what you describe legacy1's reply won't help at all I would guess as it sounds like your hub may be faulty? you could try modem mode and just plug your pc direct into the router with ethernet and try the speed. I am sure the forum team will be here to help though. When you say you have to reboot does this restore everything to full speed?

Thanks. Yes a reboot restores everything to full speed but not ideal when having to do it multiple times a day. I'm not technical enough to be doing much more and just want the service we're paying for.

Ok, so engineer coming out tomorrow. I guess it'll be (another) hub replacement. Anyone know a quick way of reconnecting a boat load of devices including smart plugs to a new wifi connection ☹️

So, after taking half a day off work for the engineer, it turns out that the visit had been cancelled due to an outage in the local area. The issue we're having has been going on for weeks though. Was not informed about the cancelled visit until I jumped onto live chat to log a failed tech visit 😠 Seriously considering jumping ship to another provider...

"Anyone know a quick way of reconnecting a boat load of devices including smart plugs to a new wifi connection"
Very easy, sign in to the new VM Hub's menu, modify the SSID and Password to the settings previously used and all your devices will be able to reconnect just as they do to the current VM Hub.

Thank you. If it does come down to a new hub, you've saved me hours of work 👍
