Hi all a couple of months or so I had trouble connecting to one of my virgin broadband networks and now it's back again. I have the Hub3. Years ago when the virgin guy put my new router in I had three networks showing. When he installed it it showed my network 2.4 and 5. But also my original one name minus the ghz band. That original network with no bandwidth on it has the fastest speed and signal but now I'm unable to connect to it. I kept getting the error unable to obtain ip address. So my phone or smart TV won't connect to that network. Now when trying via phone I get the message connection failed there was a problem authenticating the connection from your phone to the network.
My hub router is upstairs in my bedroom with the TV games consoles downstairs. When I use my 2.4 or 5ghz networks instead because the signal is week on those and maybe slower too youtube videos have been stopping and buffering. Youtube has been selecting the lowest resolution to play them. I have a really old TP link extender installed but that is not helping much now.

Hello eakhd.
Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community.
Sorry to hear about the issues your facing with the hub and connectivity.
Wit out knowing exactly what's happened it sounds like the hub3 is on it's way out.
You can look at a factory reset by pressing the reset button in for 30 seconds and allowing the hub to power cycle though.
Once this has been done the connections should come back as one. Each device will pick up the appropriate 2.4 or 5.
The 3rd connection will be your guest mode which is explained how to set up here
If that still doesn't help, please let us know and we'll have to swap the hub for you.
