Booster sparked and smoked and now cannot get a replacement

I have the exact same issue, finished decorating the room and plugged the booster back in the socket. Sparks like a firework and burning smell from the device. Called VM and I was told I’d be contacted, plus a replacement device will be issued. No call back and no device received so far. Help anyone ?
