1GB Package help! - speed

Wondering if anyone has any tips or had the same experience as myself, I upgraded my package 6/7 months ago from M500 to 1GB, the guy on the phone had offered me a hub 5 to replace my hub 4. I never received any order confirmation on this so I rang back a month later to then be told the hub 5 is currently out of stock and they will update me when available.

Another month or so went by and I contacted virgin again to be told by someone else that I wont be receiving a new hub as the hub 4 is compatible with the 1GB service bearing in my mind my speeds are hitting as high as 400/500mbps. I complained as I was promised something and never received it but again nothing happened.

I upgraded my router to a wifi 6 gaming router(c5400x) and put the hub 4 into modem mode. This never done anything and my speeds are still around 400/500mbps at best? Don’t get me wrong the speed is fine but I don’t get what I’m paying for if I’m not receiving the full benefit of my package. I called over the weekend there and was on the phone for over an hour to end up having the same response and that they will escalate the issue.

Just feel like Im going round in circles and nothing is getting solved.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear of this. The hub 4 is fine for the 1GB, not sure why that's not been confirmed. 

I am going to send you a PM to do some diagnostics as we can't find you via the Forum information provided.

Kindly pop the Hub into router mode for me to enable this to happen 🙂
