paid historic bill payment need proof for my mortgage under writer

Hi

I paid the default amount off my account on Friday this week, money gone from account I was told id get a receipt from virgin but nothing arrived.

I have contacted them and they have said they can not send one as it is historic.

I need proof either statement of account which wont happen as it is closed or a letter from them stating it has been paid ad cleared.  

Any ideas I have made numerous calls today but getting now where.

By paying a defaulted amount, the record will not be cleared from your credit file. It will remain there and marked as settled.
