I am posting here as a warning to anyone out of contract wanting to renew. I am currently on the mega volt package with Maxit TV which has TNT Sports included. I decided to take up the above new contract offer on my virgin media account page yesterday. Note it clearly states I wouldn't lose anything.
However i received my confirmation this afternoon via email. In the email it said the following items would be removed. TNT Sports, Sky Entertainment and Cinema UHD. All of these are in my current package.
I called the retention team today and was told that there was nothing they could do without evidence of the above offer (i didn't have the photo at the time) i had to invoke my 14 day cool off period and cancel the offer to revert being out of contract.
I would rather be free to move anytime than be stuck in contract with these criminals. This is false advertising at the very least. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere and hope you do the same. Very disappointed and disgusted that they can get away with scamming me like this.
