Cant make or recieve calls engaged everytime

Hi since changing my telephone connection to the hub not the wall socket I can not make or receive calls I get a dialling tone, key in the number then its engaged. I try to call my home phone from my mobile and it rings but when its picked up its an engaged tone they cant speak, and I hear nothing on my mobile..

Please help

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear you have been unable to make and receive calls since you had your Telephone switchover.

I was able to locate you on our system with the details we have for you and cannot see any issues, have you tried both sockets on the adaptor?

Yes I have tried both slots and the other slot doesnt give a dialling tone at all. The phone is quite an old one could this be the issue?

It is possible that the phone might not be compatible. Are you able to try another landline phone at all to see if this works?
