We recently changed to Virgin for our broadband but since doing so i'm experiencing constant issues while trying to play world of warcraft. I've run the usual checks, resetting router, computer, checking cables, wifi and hardwired, etc and worked my way through all of the suggested fixes by Blizzard, including a full reinstall of the game and it has made no difference. I've spent hours with traceroute to no avail and am frankly sick of it now. This has been going on for months and has rendered games unplayable.
What I can confirm, some days it is exactly 11 minutes between DCs. It also affects websites, but not streaming music.
The machine it is affecting is a PC running windows 11. All drivers and software up to date. Everything in working order.
It does not affect iMac when playing world of warcraft at all, it is only PC (Before anyone comments on the obvious, the iMac is my husbands, the PC is mine). We have tried with only the PC being used and with the PC and iMac at the same time and it makes no difference. The PC does work without DCs when using a different ISP though.
The only other thing that seems to be affected is Sky Glass TV has a few seconds screen freeze at times.
I'm really out of ideas, Blizzard have said the issue is not with them and in fairness I agree. The only option left is the ISP but when the same game is working on the same connection but a different type of computer that makes no sense. Please can someone help?

Hi @Sollicity
Welcome to our community forums and sorry to hear you are having issues when trying to play World of Warcraft. We can understand the inconvenience caused and we want to best help. Just to confirm, are you having this issue with just this game? If so, when did the issue first occur? Can you also let us know if you are gaming via ethernet or wirelessly?
Thanks,
