virgin.net email confusion - got active account

Like many others, I received an email yesterday from Virgin Media saying "As you no longer have Virgin Media services, your Virgin Media email address will become inactive. We’ll close your Virgin Media email account in 30 days".  I DO have VM services - broadband, as well as my virgin.net email account which I have had, and use daily, for decades.  So, how come it says I have no VM services?  I don't want to lose my virgin.net email account and don't see why VM are trying to force this on us.  How can I stop it from being deleted?  (I don't have any other email address with VM).

which is a helpful summary of what might be possible for .net email users who are VM broadband customers

If you have no other VM email addresses, I imagine you will have the option to link the .net address to your VM broadband connection if both are in the same name.

If you wait for a reply from the VM forum team to your topic, usually within a few days, they will advise what is possible for you.
