When you log into your broadband account, is your wife's email still listed as a secondary email? If it is then VM staff might be able to help.

Otherwise it looks like that email may have been swept up in VM's clearout of 'orphaned' accounts.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Log in to your broadband account. Look down the menu options and you should see a heading for emails linked to the account.

Log into your Primary My Virgin Media account (the one where you access your bills) and click on Account Settings > My Virgin Media account details > scroll down until you see Manage other My Virgin Media accounts.  This should list all the email accounts attached to the primary account.  Note that if you have already changed the sign in username for the secondary account to a third party email address you will see that address listed not the underlying VM email address.
