I have also received the emails about closing my virgin.net email accounts despite being a loyal paying customer from the Virgin dialup days and subsequently NTL Broadband then Virgin Media.
I am going on a cruise tomorrow with likely poor internet access. I am also in the middle of selling my house and reliable email and a consistent email address are of paramount importance. Its part of why I'm still with Virgin despite the woe.
Please can you arrange for my two email addresses retained?
Looking forward to your assistance,
thankyou

I understand your concern about losing access to your Virgin.net email accounts, especially during such a critical time. Unfortunately, with Virgin.net email services being phased out, it's unlikely that they can retain the accounts permanently. However, I recommend contacting Virgin Media customer support directly to see if they can offer any temporary solutions or help with forwarding your emails to a new address during your cruise.

I don't know that another contradiction is particularly helpful. Are they closing the email service? Like not hosting customers email any longer? Do you have any authority to state that?
There are other posts saying the email can be linked to the broadband account, which it don't understand how it isn't already.
I already had to go through some debacle a could of years ago of registering a non-Virgin email address just so I could login to my Virgin account instead of the @virgin.net address I was using.
Really need some support from a Virgin Media person. Have already phoned the support line on this twice. First time was cut off when answered after 20 minutes of waiting. Second time for an hour only to be told it wasn't a real email and likely spam, with the only suggestion to forward it to fishing@ for investigation.

See reply from 用心棒 below, a forum VIP
https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Concerned-Virgin-Net-eMail-Users/m-p/5575739#M279991
which is a helpful summary of what might be possible for .net email users who are VM broadband customers
If you wait for a reply from the VM forum team to your topic, usually within a few days, they will advise what is possible for you.
