I have had Virgin for a few days, it was installed on Monday and I have the same problem of catch up and on demand temporarily unavailable.

Can you help me ?

I switched off the power to everything then switched it back on after one minute, it all re-booted and has been fine ever since

I upgraded my ethernet cable from a cat5 to cat6 and that seemed too work. Try that?

Did that tonight. Switched everything off and left it all for a few minutes. Didn’t work so I tried it again but left it a good while longer and it eventually rebooted and all is fine now. Thank you.

Didn’t need to do this as a reboot seems to have done the trick but will bear your suggestion in mind and will replace the cable anyway. Thank you for your help.

As I say, all I did was fit the new Cat6 ethernet cable instead of using the old Cat5 from the old box and it started working

Thanks for posting and Welcome to the Community! 🙂 

I'm sorry to hear your Catch Up and On Demand isn't working. Have you tried rebooting the box already? Are you also getting the Catch Up and On Demand is temporarily unavailable message too? If restarting it hasn't worked, could you restart the box again for me and then go to Home >  Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect to the Virgin Media Service now and retry On Demand.

hi have rebooted my Tivo box but catch up & on demand saying is unavailable!

Could someone send a signal to my box please so I can try rebooting again ?
