it's not available on virgin, only on sky, freesat and freeview. virgin have either not been given the rights or don't want to pay for the rights to show it.

Thanks for the reply, so it's on all other media outlets bar Virgin media......hmm I think a change of my TV provider may be on the cards.

Of course that is an option for you but you do already have the channel at the inconvenience of a few button pushes.

Virgin is a closed platform, where Virgin own & maintain all the infrastructure. They also have coverage of around 40% of the country. So joining the Virgin platform may be too much of an outlay for the potential audience a broadcaster would get. There are several other "free" channels missing from Virgin. There are also channels that are "free" on some platforms but on a subscription pack on Virgin. It depends whether the broadcaster wants a cut of Virgins income.

How woul you know that I can change my TV from Virgin to freeview in a few button pushes? I might not have a digital aerial, I might not know how to tune my TV from maybe HDMI to another input? I feel your response was somewhat patronising.

Could it be that virgin don't want a socialist news outlet on their TV?

Thanks for the reply this is a very good point that Virgin may charge the news broadcaster money to air it on their TV platform and this might out weigh the cost effectiveness of reaching the audience virgin broadcasts to, although 40% of the country in pretty big.

Remember that's 40% if ALL the homes passed were customers. In reality its probably less than half of that.

 Strange coincidence or what.?

I'm thinking about going back to Virgin but seriously p***ed off that I won't be able to get RT as usual without a lot of fiddling around....the only news channel that has a non-Establishment take on what's going on.....call me paranoid but does Branson object to that by any chance?!
