Hi Josh, Sorry for delay in replying, It seems to be flaky on both of the devices we use, that's a Nokia 6 and my Galaxy S6. since your last reply its been ok for a few days but again today it has stopped working. It's stuck on "connecting" so looks like will have to uninstall and reinstall again.
I've checked this out and it appears the 'connecting' issue with TV Control is a known issue our technicians are working to fix. We don't have a fix date on this at the moment but we'll update as soon as we hear anything.

Ok Josh thanks could you let me know when it is fixed please as it's very frustrating being so hit and miss. Quickest method I've found for now it to go to settings stop the app then go back to it and open it again. Bit annoying but faster than keep unistalling and reinstalling.
