Hi,

I'm also having issues with the app. Constantly having to uninstall and reinstall it on my Samsung Galaxy S6.

Once re installed it will work for a while and I can set up series links view all my shows planned recordings and Guide etc. 

But then when I go back to it later I get the same problem in that I get the screen saying "connecting" and that's it will not go ant further.  The App version is 4.2.1-1101758

Even when its working it takes ages to get to be able to use it.

Restarting the phone makes no difference.

In my experience, the Virgin TV Control app takes 30-40 seconds to connect but it ALWAYS connects.

Hi Ernie, thanks for reply. Yeah when it's  working it takes 30-40secs but then it will never connect unless I uninstall and re install

Hi Josh,

Thanks for reply, the Android version is 7 Nougat. Just this second tried it and its not working again. Uninstalling is only way to get it working but that will only fix for a few hours.

It is a bit of an unusual one! Do you have another device we can test this on? I'd like to see whether or not it's an issue with the box or the app.

Sorry for delay in replying, It seems to be flaky on both of the devices we use, that's a Nokia 6 and my Galaxy S6. since your last reply its been ok for a few days but again today it has stopped working. It's stuck on "connecting" so looks like will have to uninstall and reinstall again.

Thanks for getting back to me!

 

I've checked this out and it appears the 'connecting' issue with TV Control is a known issue our technicians are working to fix. We don't have a fix date on this at the moment but we'll update as soon as we hear anything.

Ok Josh thanks could you let me know when it is fixed please as it's very frustrating being so hit and miss. Quickest method I've found for now it to go to settings stop the app then go back to it and open it again. Bit annoying but faster than keep unistalling and reinstalling.
