Pixelated tv

Almost all tv channels are highly pixelated rendering them unwatchable. A few non-HD channels are OK. It was fine until about 8.30 this morning.

I have run the online test.

I have checked all connections.

What can be done to fix this.

Re: Pixelated tv

Same problem here. Tests say no faults. Pixelation mostly on HD channels, I thought it was the recent bad wind and rain but its still happening.

Re: Pixelated tv

It was bad again today. Sometimes the sound was a mess too. I tried rebooting the tivo box but that made no difference. I don't think it's wind and rain as we have fibre optic in the street and broadband cable into the house. Possibly a lack of bandwidth issue?

Re: Pixelated tv

Pixelation on Live TV is generally a signal level issue.

PIxelation only on recordings is usually a hard disk problem.

In either case, phone Virgin Media and insist on a visit.

Re: Pixelated tv

Hi jcrgordon,

Thanks for posting.

I can see there are some signal issues that I'd like an engineer to take a look at so I'm just going to send you a private message which you will find if you click on the purple envelope at the top right of the screen.

Talk to you soon
