Faulty remote(s)

Recently I had Virgin TV installed and the remote started acting weird after couple of days. I thought the batteries have gone and I replaced them, but same started happening again. So upon further testing I realized that it will only work if I press / push the batteries in and keep them pushed against the board. Went onto chat and I asked for a new remote as clearly this one was faulty. Received the remote after few days and was very happy , no more stress trying to change the channels. But no, same fault with the new remote! Why are your remotes faulty?!? It is really frustrating...

Re: Faulty remote(s)

Hi slowinternet11

I appreciate you getting in touch with us and thank you for posting about the remote controls.

This is not the norm re the remotes and I have 4 boxes with Virgin Media so I am speaking from my experience here too, so the fact that you have had two in a row with this same issue is just really bad luck.

I am so sorry about this.

There's a new text ordering system available for this via our Cable Specialists on 07533051809 and  they'll be able to get this sorted out for you. Texts are free for Virgin Media customers, and they’re open 8am-7pm Monday - Friday.

Additionally you can call in on 150 or 0345 454 1111 or chat to the teams to order a replacement via Webchat

Kindest regards.

Kaz

Re: Faulty remote(s)

Thanks, hopefully it's only a bad luck and not a bad batch...

I will try and order another one.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Faulty remote(s)

New remote is perfect, no issues. :-)

Thank you for your help.

Only now I have a different problem, no services since half an hour ago...

Website says no faults and when I run the test says "Equipment switched off". The hub is on and it has a green light flashing. I did a reset but to no avail. Still the same...

Edit: Website now says "We know of one issue" , so hopefully it will be sorted today... :-)
