Disappearing Channels.

I have a Virgin Tivo box.

Is anybody else finding they no longer have BBC 2 and UK gold in STANDARD definition as part of their package?

Thank you.

Re: Disappearing Channels.

Read this about the changes which do not affect UK Gold (AFAIK)

Re: Disappearing Channels.

Thank you.

BBC 2 standard definition is now 865.

Can't find UK Gold though, only +1.

GOLD, FREESPORTS & BT Sports have now removed their standard definition channels from Virgin. You can still find BBC2 England in SD on 865.

It is inevitable this trend will continue as channels look for cost savings. NHK World joined Virgin in HD only back in 2013, so HD only services are not new.

Re: Disappearing Channels.

It's also worth pointing out that one of the main reasons there were still SD versions of channels on Virgin Media, is that there were SD only boxes still around.

They're all gone now, and all remaining boxes are either HD only (V6) or can downscale HD to SD (V+ / V HD / TiVo).
