Channels state “to be announced” - TV guide not available

Hi

We upgraded our TIVO box in the living room to V6 and moved the other TIVO box upstairs (to replace the previous ‘old’ one). Since doing so, we have access to all the channels (it seems) but cannot see the TV guide (on the 2nd device - the V6 is fine).

we have tried resetting but it hasn’t worked. What can we do next?

Edit (delete) - sorry misread your post - thought it was the V6 that was not connecting.  All I can suggest for the Tivo is to unplug it from the mains for 5 minutes and restart.

Assuming you mean that the Guide says ‘To Be Announced’ for all channels and all dates/times, all you can do is attempt a manual network connection which may identify further information as to the source of your error.

You can do this connection by navigating on the TiVo as follows:

Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect to the Virgin Media Service now >

The connection goes through a number of steps. Report if any step fails and what message is displayed.

If all goes well, your Guide should populate.

We tried this also. Still no luck.

It also keeps rebooting which seems very odd!

Yes but does any step fail, i.e. not say ‘Finished’?

If no error and the Guide does not populate, your only option is to assume the Guide is corrupted and complete a ‘Clear Programme Info & Planned Recs’ function by navigating as follows on the TiVo:

Home > Help & Settings > Clear or Reset TiVo box > Clear Programme Info & Planned Recs >

Thanks Ernie - trying that now. It’s been clearing for over half hour though which concerns me a little!

We’ve done a full reboot, cleared data etc, gone through all steps and the TV guide still doesn’t work. Any other guidance would be gratefully received!
