What's next on 4K uhd

When watching Sky One some shows are available in ultra hd but not yet on Virgin e.g Hawaii Five-0 is there any plans to give the customer more Uhd content as currently I can only watch the BT Sport in Uhd and the limited schedule on the Virgin Ultra hd channel. Thanks Anthony

Re: What's next on 4K uhd

The 4K content is very limited although Netflix is available. It's due to getting agreements with the content owners. A Streaming Stick+ from Roku or Fire TV from Amazon can provide Amazon Prime 4K content.

The UHD content is very limited whereever you go - there isn't that much at all.

What the platforms have got they are keeping to themselves.

And some of that is only 'Enhanced for UHD' and is not 'True UHD'.

VIVID 500 (500/35mb) in Area 31

Re: What's next on 4K uhd

It's extremely limited on the V6 box though with a few cobbled together shows for a few hours each night on one channel. I'm nearly 2 years in to having a V6 box and considering it was advertised and sold as a 4K next generation box, it's extremely disappointing.

Simple answer. Its on Sky so Sky have the rights to the content. BT have decided to wholesale BT Sports UHD. Sky are keeping their sports offering exclusive to their own customers as they own the channel. This is nothing new.

Virgin has exclusive HD channels. Sky has exclusive UHD content. They are competing platforms.
