Virgin Media Television channels in Ireland

I've just noticed that in Ireland: the channels TV3, 3e and be3 will soon be rebranded as Virgin Media One, Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Three.

Will these be available to VM customers, like me, in the North of Ireland where we already have access to RTÉ 1, RTÉ 2 and TG4?

Re: Virgin Media Television channels in Ireland

Hi Declanworld,

Thanks for posting.

These channels are just being re-branded so unless you already have these channels then they may not become available to you.

I have added a link here which gives further information regarding the re-branding of these channels.

Kind regards

Re: Virgin Media Television channels in Ireland

Don't forget that RTE & TG4 are public broadcasters, & it is their own not-for-profit venture that now allows you to view thier channels in NI on all platforms. Commercial channels are not part of that agreement.

Cable customer since 1993. Services: FH TV, Sky Sports & Movies (2xV6), Talk Anytime Phone, VIVID 350, Virgin PAYG Mobile

You may be able to view them along with other channels via saorview overspill on freeview.

I can get them on Saorview - I was just wondering if VM had plans to incorporate them - save flicking over to aerial.

Re: Virgin Media Television channels in Ireland

Nope, those channels received via saorview overspill don't have rights to stream programmes in the UK. Even though NI is in Ireland and the UK, it's jurisdiction is the UK.
