Received an email saying I was eligible for an upgrade to the new V6 TiVo box. I have been into offers and upgrades link from my account but can't find where to get the upgrade to the V6 box?. Will I have to call VM cuts services?
I got an email yesterday announcing the offer to upgrade for a one-off £20 payment, which was very tempting. So I went on to click, "Get your Virgin TV V6 box", answered a few questions to prove I was not a robot. It then told me it couldn't find my account.
Now it may be that my account isn't high enough to qualify. If that is the case, Virgin Media should not be sending me emails in a underhand attempt to lure me into getting a higher package. Its a cheap marketing trick and one which I would have thought Virgin would not sink to.
The old Tivo box is ridiculously slow and clunky and does need upgrading. My Amazon Firestick TV is so much better.
Virgin should be upgrading the dated Tivo boxes as a matter of routine. I have been with Virgin Media for over 10 years and not only do they do this sort of thing, but they are now removing loyalty discounts. So much for valuing existing customers eh?
