V6 freezing on recordings

Hi,

We are having trouble watching recordings. They seem to stutter and jump. Either that or completely crash and cause for a 5 minute reboot.

This only happens on recordings. On demand and normal tv are fine, looking at other customer questions it seems as thought i may need an engineer to assess this problem.

Thank you to anybody who may be able to help.

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

Really sorry that you're having some issues with your recordings freezing when you're trying to watch them. 

Does this happen across both HD and SD recordings? 

Is it specific channels or all recordings regardless?

If so and it's still an issue let us know and we can have a closer look and an engineer visit can be booked if needed.

Thank you for your reply.

We are definitely still having this issue as recently as last night.

I can confirm that it is all channels however i am unaware whether this affects HD as we only tend to record on SD.

I hooe this helps and i can get this issue resolved.

Sounds like your hardrive is on its way out. You can either wait here for a forum member to arrange an engineer visit, but it will be quicker if you phone up and report the fault yourself.

Hi Jamie,

 

Thank you for getting back to us in response to Emma's queries.

Regarding Shweby's comment, the status of your hard drive seems fine from our end. I'd like you to try manually connecting to the network by following these steps: press Home on your remote > select Help & Settings > select Settings > select Network > select Connect to the Virgin Media Service now.

 

Have you also reconnected all cables to and from your TV box to ensure they're tight and secure? Could you also confirm that your box is well ventilated and not overheating?
