V6 box or remote misbehaving

Tuning in

Getting various problems. Suspect is remote but some look like it could be V6 box.

1. input channel number , both to change channel or navigate program guide

Often only get 2 of the 3 digits

2. Navigate using up/down/left/right arrows sometimes jumps 2 instead of 1 entry.

Similar problem with >> , << and arrow buttons

3. Inputting Text , eg for search. Hitting pqrs three times often sticks on p 

Other similar problems also sometimes happen

All are intermittent problem, but sometimes persist then stop for a time

Silly question but have you tried new batteries?

If that doesn't work follow the instructions on the following link virgin-tv-lost-or-damaged-tv-remote/not-working-v6 

If that fails to resolve the issue you can order a new remote on the last page of the link.
