V6 box keeps freezing and freezes when it starts in the starting up screen

My screen freezes and when I restart the box, as suggested, it freezes in the "starting up" screen

Sounds like you've got a faulty V6 that is best reported to VM.

150 from a VM phone or 0345 4541111 from any other phone.

Or wait here for staff to respond which may take a few days.

Hi Amanda,

Have you tried using a different HDMI Port on your TV, to see if that helps?

If that fails, you might need to try a full factory restore:

Home > Help & Settings >  Clear or Reset TiVo box > Clear & Delete Everything ...

Please be aware though, doing this removes all your Series Links & clears any recordings you have. The next step may be asking for an engineer or replacement box as suggested by japitts.

A faulty HDMI wouldn't cause the boot loop that you describe.

I doubt it would cause a stuck screen either.

There's quite a few symptoms that a duff HDMI would cause, but yours are of a faulty box IMO.
