Sounds like your box won't bootup, which by itself is a fault. The buzzing noise is probably not healthy either.
Your next port of call should be calling VM to report your fault. 150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone, choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service".
Or wait around here for staff to respond, that may take 24-48 hours.
