thanks for the advice, after getting nowhere, I did as you suggested spoke to a very helpful Scottish gentleman who went through everything with me, final result I have 2 new v6 boxes and a new hub coming plus a 40 pound a month reduction on my bill

on jan 31st, i phoned as had a telephone billing query.

and was told i need new box(v6) as the old boxes need to be changed(had V+) and if i would like it posted out, it arrived on the day scheduled, sat 9th feb.

the phone call at the time lasted no more than 10mins.

but i dont think much of v6 to be honest, picture qaulity on some channels(have the 'fun' bundle) was better on the V+

The V+ is better at upscaling SD to HD, I can attest to that as I have both and picture quality on SD channels is always better on V+ regardless of which TV I connect it to. That point aside, the V6 is still overall the better box.

so in other words, it the hardware is not the same in the 2 boxes.
and not just the upscaling, whilst watching gold, sonytv and itv3(pre hd programmes), picture seemed better on the v+

Hi

I eventually managed to get a V6 box but then discovered my monthly bill has increased by over £30pm! No mention of any increase when told I had to upgrade box. Feel really ripped off
