V6 Splitter TV Remote Problem

6 Box Scart connection

Hi there.  I've just got the neoteck splitter for my V6 box and it works OK on both outputs but......

When I plug it in, my TV remote control no longer functions.  I can control the TV from the manual buttons on the side.

If I take the splitter out of line the TV remote control works again!!

Has anyone else had this problem and are there any ideas please?

Do I need to ensure the V6 and the TV are on standby when I put the splitter in?

Ta and Regards

Steve

Re: V6 Splitter TV Remote Problem

When you connect your TV by SCART, did you change the source input with the TV remote?

Re: V6 Splitter TV Remote Problem

Hi Roger, thanks for replying

No, I just left the TV selected to the HDMI input from the Virgin V6, which had been changed to come from the splitter.

I will indeed try switching the TV to a different Input then put the splitter in the HDMI line then switch the TV Input back to that HDMI line.....

"When I plug it in, my TV remote control no longer functions. I can control the TV from the manual buttons on the side."

I am at a loss as to why this is some sort of V6 issue or are you saying that your V6 controller no longer operates the volume and standby functions of your TV?

You can't learn anything from a mistake until you admit that you've made it.
