Selected the option to clear all recordings and reset box, however, despite it telling us that it may take 1, yes just one, hour to complete the task, its now 29 hours later and still stuck on "Deleting Everything.... sit tight this could take an hour" screen
Perhaps since im far from the first with this problem it may be an idea to remove this idiotic option that does nothing other than break the box.
Dont even get me started on customer support - some poorly speaking, underpaid tele-operator in India didnt have the slightest idea and the online chat, well, does it ever work or are you always "extremely busy"

I moved house, and so brought the V6 box with me. It was installed today and all working fine, but i decided to give it a reset/delete everything to freshen it up and start again in terms of planned recordings etc, but i now have a similar problem. It's seemingly stuck on the 'please wait, this could take a while' screen.
I don't like turning things off if they're possibly doing something, especially if there is a HD in there, so any suggestions?
Also, as a last resort, is there a hard reset for the V6? Similar to the hard reset for the Tivo box?
I swictched off my box several times and even left it off over night But when switched on "Deleting Everything" always showed! I switched it of over a week ago and went back to Freeview, what do you think of the chances it will work now without that annoying message
