It can be via WiFi, but this is not the preferred connection method, as many (including me) have found it inadequate due to local WiFi congestion. A 5Ghz connection is pretty well essential for any HD & internet streaming. If the signal is not strong enough then you can get Powerline adaptors from VM to turn your house ring main into a network.

why must the V6 be connected the hub to work?
