Using tv app with v6 box

My current TiVo box has to be connected to the router with a cable to enable virgin tv app. Is this still the case with the v6 box

Re: Using tv app with v6 box

All V6s are connected to the router for normal operation anyway.

Can’t I  have the router in a different room to v6 box ?

Yes. You would make the router connection by WiFi, assuming a strong, stable signal at the location of the V6, or by Ethernet over powerline adapters.

Re: Using tv app with v6 box

A coaxial cable will have to be run to the V6 in another room, so get an Ethernet cable run at the same time.
