The King and I

Last night, the 22nd, the original 'The King and I' film from 1956 staring Yul Brynner was advertised to be shown at about 6.25pm. even the original cast was shown under the heading.

Much anticipated in this household. Imagine the disappointment when what was actually broadcast was a stage production from the London Palladium.

Can anyone explain why this was.

Which channel?

A check of the broadcaster's website schedule will be the first port of call.

Can't remember but since I posted the proper film has been broadcast on BBC2 this afternoon from 1.40pm.

All OK now.

It was on the Virgin UHD channel 228.

We had the same problem. Stage show not advertised film version.

We're getting the Virgin UHD channel for free over Christmas but if this the standard we have to expect, I'll give it a miss.
