TV Control App not recognising me as on my home network.

My app and v6 worked brilliantly when I first joined Virgin (June). The app now hasn’t recognised my v6 box for several months. It’s frustrating! I’ve tried calling, online chat and nothing. I keep going in circles. Done all the resets, reloads. Nothing. Help!

Before you call in, make sure the device you are using the app on is not connecting to the Virgin Hotspot used by your hub.

I have had to disable the Virgin WiFi app when at home as my devices seem to give preference to the Hotspot over my home connection.

The WiFi hotspots use a totally seperate connection.

Thanks but don’t use that app. It’s not finding any network on the app. 🤔

Is this still happening today?  If so, can you tell us more about the Device you're using, OS and if all app and OS software is up to date?

Hiya- yep still not working. iOS and apps all up to date. It worked welll for the first couple of weeks and just stopped recognising the tv and hub.

How is the V6 connected to the network? Is this using WiFi or a wired connection?

That's odd! 

 

Can you try going to the help & settings, then settings, network and finally connect to the Virgin Media Services?
