Surround sound

I have a Sony amp 7.1 sound system connected to my v6 box , the sound is dull and muffled.

Previously had it connected to sky box the sound was perfect anybody else had these issues

you have set the audio settings on the V6 to Dolby Digital and NOT PCM ?

Sorry to hear you're having audio issues.

@ozsat is right, when your box is connected to your surround sound system, audio setting should be on Dolby Digital.

To change it, you can follow the instructions here.

Just be aware you might get hte audio dropping when you change channels. I had that when connected to my yamaha amp. Leaving it on PCM is the only way it stops happening

VM's PCM is stereo-only, so not suitable for those with surround-sound systems.

I now so you have to virtualise the surround sound on the amp. Since the majority of Virgins audio signals are stereo anyway its not such a big problem.
