Stuck getting volume on v6 remote to work as have new smart tv.

Charlotte6
On our wavelength

Hi there

I recently purchased a new tv, plugged v6 box in no issues all fine, but cannot get the volume to work, I have followed the steps via help and settings, programme my remote, entered all the codes they give me, doesn't work, put in the make of my TV, it's a Hitachi tried another 48 codes they gave me none of them worked.

Does anyone know how this can be done? Thank you.

Ps I've had the virgin engineer programme all my other remotes so never been able to do it.

Thank you

Hi have you also tried TV+Clear (LED flashes green twice) type 0999 and then keep pressing channel up until the TV turns off.  Then press OK

Hi Charlotte6,

It's possible that the remote has already been paired with a different TV.

Please try the following :-

Press TV and Clear at the same time until the light on the remote flashes green.

Then press thumbs down 3 times followed by OK twice.

This should reset the remote and force it to re-pair.

Have you tried following the instructions for the V6 and TIVO on this page?
