You can, on V6, download recordings while at home for offline streaming.

You can get the Virgin TV Go app from the App Store which enables you to download shows to a mobile device so long as you have a Full House subscription or above.

It all comes down to “rights” and the fact that streaming to you while on the move counts as different rights to streaming at home. Rights as in what Virgin are licensed to do with programs from the rights owner.

if you have Now TV you will find certain programs are not available on some Sky channels that are available on satellite received channels, that is because Sky don’t hold streaming rights for that program, but do hold broadcast rights.
