I am experiencing intermittent pixelated picture breakup on the Sky football channel on both my TiVo box and same problem on a second V6 box. All other channels inc. Sky & BT sports  are fine. Checked all cabling.

Keeping to the HD channels, check the following as they are on the same broadcast frequency and a signal fault affecting one should affect them all

SS Football HD: SS PL HD, Sky Thriller HD, SS Action HD, Animal Planet HD, More4-HD, Sky Documentaries HD

SS Golf HD: BT Sport2 HD, Sky Nature HD, Sky News HD, GB News HD, BBC News HD, BBC2-HD

The forum staff have access to remote diagnostics to check your levels, but if the above channels are affected that's good evidence of a signal issue IMO.

Is this SD (513) or HD (503)? It won't alter the end advice, but may assist with some checks

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.

Hi Daveman999,

Thank you for your post and welcome to our forums 🙂

I am sorry you have had a pixelated picture on sky sports. Id you could answer @japitts' questions this would help us so we can best assist. How is it all looking since your post?

Zoie

In answer to your question it is apparent on both as and HD channels. The other evening when I lodged the problem the picture quality was diabolical with pixelation occuring over 20 to 60% of the viewing area. However, about an hour later it had reduced to just an occasional error burst. I occasionally have the same problem with Sky golf and BT sport's but rarely see break up on any other channels
