Recordings Freezing and stuttering

My picture keeps freezing on my recorded programs, it's fine on live TV. 
 I've powered the box down at the plug and left it for 10 mins but it still keeps doing it, any suggestions?

Hi Mark,

Check all yuor connections are snug and thight, especially the white coaxial.

Thwn  pause a live program for a few minutes and play it back. That's the same as recording.

If that also freezes and stutters then it looks like a hard drive problem.
