Recording to DVD from V6 box

I am shortly upgrading to a V6 box after having a TIVO box for some time. Can I still record to DVD using a scart lead from the V6 box to my DVD recorder? The lead I currently use on the TIVO box is scart to scart.

Re: Recording to DVD from V6 box

The scart output is disabled so you will be unable to record

If recording is a important issue keep your Tivo with the V6.

Are you allowed to keep the TIVO?

only if you keep it as a extra box. There will be a cost attached for this

Re: Recording to DVD from V6 box

I was told there was no extra charge for the keeping the TiVo box as it is replacing the v+ box in the bedroom

Re: Recording to DVD from V6 box

There is an additional charge over the V+HD box for having a TiVo or V6.

Whether this has been negated or not by CS is a different matter, but I would check.

Re: Recording to DVD from V6 box

Have now got round this problem by buying a HDMI to scart signal coverter (about £12 on Amazon). The HDMI lead from the V6 Box goes into the converter, and a scart lead goes from the converter into the DVD recorder. I run the small 5V power lead that comes with the converter from the back of the V6 box into the converter, and the picture from the DVD recorder goes back to the TV via the normal scart or HDMI connection . When not recording onto the DVD recorder, I switch the HDMI lead back to running direct from the V6 box to the TV. Hope this helps.
