Poor picture quality

WI am experiencing poor picture quality again on non HD channels , I have a V6.

Sky man says it's because tv service is affected by demand , this will not be the case with their service.

They have offered me an unbelievable deal , entertainment package, box sets , Netflix , Sky sports and cinema in HD, fiber max and Qbox for £80 a month plus £10 set up and £19.99 set up

your thoughts please anyone, I'd be sorry to leave Virgin , I have been with them since day one .

Thanks

Dominik

Re: Poor picture quality

My thoughts are it's not affected by demand. Every single person on virgin could watch BBC 2 and it would not effect picture quality, get your signal levels checked

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Re: Poor picture quality

Do you have a 4K TV? If so, SD will always look bad.

Re: Poor picture quality

Yes I have 4K tv
Would switching to Sky improve the picture quality? It's seems a cracking deal they have offered, it's very tempting !
Anyone's thoughts

Re: Poor picture quality

The SD resolution is 576i, and to display on your TV requires upscaling to 2160p. If you watch a lot of SD you could try these video output settings.

  • 2160p
  • 2160p 24/25/30fps (pass-through)
  • 1080p 24/25/30fps (pass-through)

But if you watch mostly HD, try these.

  • 1080i
  • 2160p 24/25/30fps (pass-through)
  • 1080p 24/25/30fps (pass-through)
