No On Demand or play from other box. Internet is fine

I am having problems with the internet side of box my V6 boxes. The internet it self seems fine on my laptop, tablet and phone, and I done a test on my laptop via ethernet and got 200Mb/s down & 12Mb/s Up.

the problem is that when I try watching on demand/catch up the box just has the spinning logo on the screen like it is searching and never stops. Also when trying to connect to the other box to watch recorded stuff the same happens. This happens both way with each box. Live TV & EPG is fine.

You can see above that I get these screens when trying to test the connection. I have reset both boxes and also tried connecting to the Virgin Media Service, which also fails. 

The were digging up VM cables earlier in the week and these problems started after that, although maybe coincidental.
