That's not an error message a TiVo/V6 tends to generate, which makes me suspect it's a TV error. That in turn would point at an HDMI problem - have you tried another cable or port on your TV?

Any error generated by your VM box will have an error code/number with it.

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your TV services. 

 

As advised by Japitts, this does sound like a TV issue instead of a problem with the virgin media box.

I would try pulling your TV's power cable from the wall socket, waiting 60 seconds and plug back in. This sometimes resolves cable signal errrors.
