Why does my V6 buffer random channels on the other tuners? It's got ITV3 on there at the moment. Who the hell ever watches that?!
I thought it's supposed to buffer the most recent channels used?

The channels aren't random, each tuner will change channels as & when required either by live TV viewing or a recording.
At some point, you will have either watched or set a recording on ITV3. The tuner that was used, hasn't had cause to change channels since.

Just checked it again and 2 tuners are allocated to c beebies. That's not been watched for about 3 years! It just doesn't make any sense

You can alter the channel that any background tuner is buffering, by scrolling down to that tuner/channel, selecting it and then changing channel.
This can also depend how often you have 4/5 programmes recording simultaneously - for that's when (in effect) "no tuner escapes".
