I have the Mix TV package but I can't get Sky Arts - Ch 165

I have the Mix TV package and I believe I should be able to access Sky Arts - on Ch 165, but my tv won't allow me to enter Ch 165.

What can I do to fix this?

I have no idea if I have chosen the right "board" - it is just re normal TV package.

What happens when you select channel 165 from the TV Guide - assuming it's not greyed out? Do you get an error code or message?

If it is greyed out, try following, assuming you have a TiVo or V6 (which I would presume, by virtue of having an older bundle)...

Home > Help & Settings > Help > TV Care > I'm missing some channels.

And yes, Sky Arts SD is in the (now legacy) Mix bundle, the HD version is only in higher tiers : TV Channel guide

Thank you for replying.

When I try to enter Ch 165, it jumps to another channel (usually Ch11, for some reason).

I don't have a Home button - just Menu and Tools. 

What I need might be on my Menu option, which includes Broadcasting, System, and Support, (and Auto-tuning - I am worried to try that in case I "lose" channels!)

Is there a tel number I can call, as it might be easiest if someone talks me through it?

(I didn't realise I had an "old" package - the price was reduced recently - I would have expected they would have offered me an up-to-date package then but I do only used standard channels, not sport or any other specialised channels.)

Ah, sounds like you might have a 360 rather than TiVo/V6. The physical box is the same but software & remote is different.

In the top-right corner next to the video preview screen, a TiVo/V6 shows the TiVo logo - a 360 doesn't. There's also pictures here 

If you'd rather call in, the number is 150 (from a VM phone) or 0345 4541111 - but if you can confirm which box you have, others on here can likely help.

As for the TV package, Mix was ring-fenced a couple of years back and is no longer sold. If you're out of minimum term, it's always a good time to review your requirements & budget, see what's available currently- and renegotiate your package in exchange for a new minimum term.

It does sound like you have the 360. 

Have you tried channel 140?

Thanks for your comment - I have tried 140, but, just as with 165 it just jumps to Ch 11, or similar.

I do know what numbers I should be able to use - my tv just doesn't accept those numbers!

I have Mix TV and a V6 box  . Ch 165 usually works . Not today because of the outage.

From this and your previous posts it sounds as if you maybe using the wrong remote control.  To change channels on your Virgin Media TV box you need to be using the VM remote not the TV one.

However, whilst the national TV outage continues you won't be able to access any channels other than 101, 102, 103 and 104.

Just tried again, and it won't accept Ch 165.

I think there must be an option that I need to change.

Is the channel showing in bold in your EPG or is it greyed out?

Do you have it locked/PIN-protected?

Can you select it by scrolling up & down through channel numbers instead?
