HDMI v6 splitter issues

Hi,

I’ve noticed a few people having issues with this. I have connected my V6 box to a splitter. TV in living room works fine, tv in bedroom will work fine for welcome screen and start up. Sometimes V 6 box works normally, other times HDMI source can’t be found.
Before I get totally fed up and throw the boxes out the window, has anyone got any ideas ?
Sometimes if I restart the box it will work, Other times not.

Thanks

Do you have a V6 in the bedroom as well and, if  so, how is it connected to the hub?

Hi Roger,

No, that’s why I am using an HDMI amplified splitter to run the signal from the V6 box in the living room. Virgin wouldn’t drill the hole to put a box in the bedroom as they are fire walls.

Thanks

Chris

Hi I presume the box in the bedroom is connected with a coaxial cable and subscribed to, as all virgins TV boxes must be wired that way. Regards Micky

If you've drilled a hole for the HDMI cable then you have a hole for the V6's coaxial cable and Ethernet cable.

Hi,

No I have not drilled a hole, I have pinned the cable around the walls.

Chris

So there is a way to get a coaxial cable into the room. I suggest you contact VM again for a second box.
