Forward Path Equaliser and Install Questions

I have just upgraded from a standard TiVo to a V6 box because my old TiVo's hard disk was failing.  The original connector cable was fitted with an 8dB forward path equaliser.  I have removed this as I assumed it would not be needed with a V6 box.  Did I do right?

Re: Forward Path Equaliser and Install Questions

Personally, I would leave it in place but you'll soon find out if it puts the signal level out of the spec required by V6.

Re: Forward Path Equaliser and Install Questions

Hi jhx

Thank you for tasking time to post on our Forums

Hope the new V6 box is behaving

As @Ernie_C advised it would be best ti leave this on place

Basically it is there to control the signal strength coming into the property.

However if you have removed it and have no faults then that great

If you do need any assistance, please let me know

Regards
