Do I need to the use 4dB cable simulator with my new v6 box

Just taken delivery of a new V6 box to replace my ancient V+ Box. Working fine - TV channels not breaking up, internet connection working well.

However, my old V+ box had a 4 dB adapter in the coax lead - I assume to help balance the cable signal. I've not plugged this in to the new V6 box but should I??

Thanks, Rob.

I have a 6db attenuator which I left in place as I assume that these devices are to provide a correct signal level to the box

VM Services: Broadband 100 with SH3 in modem mode ~ TV M+, V6 box ~ Phone XL

Ideally leave in place, but may not make a noticeable difference.

Hi munrobasher,

Thanks for posting!

As the others have said, it's probably best to use the attenuator for now. If you notice any issues with your picture quality or broadband connection let us know and we'll check the signal for you.

Haven't had chance to plug attenuator in but will do.
