Have you checked your guide to see if your program information includes a rating ? If so is it every channel ?
Sureley the whole point of the 9PM thing is for age restricted content not to be shown before 9PM. If it's not suitable for viewing before 9PM then don't put it on before then. Pretty sure it's impossible to have people enter a PIN when watching on Freeview and I have seen someone else here have the same thing when watching something like Strictly Come Dancing which is about as family as show as you are likely to find
Something just seems wrong here. I can understand people wanting control over what younger people want but I live on my own so there is simply no need for any kind of age restriction full stop and it's just really annoying having to keep entering a PIN all the time
