Channel Breaking up

Hi this started on ch5 (hd) but now a few other channels are the same eg alibi. The channel just breaks up and screen looks all fuzzy the sound is ok but you cant watch or record that channel. Have read a few people have had same problem but was told to make new topic instead of posting on someone else's.

Is there any fixes out there im just about to go and read some more to see if anyone has sorted this.

Cheers James

It sounds like you're describing pixellation...

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.

Hi splitroaster,

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community!

Sorry to hear you're facing issues.

With regards to the issue at hand can I ask whether you have checked the cables to see if they're securely fastened?

Also could I ask what type of box you have?

Thanks,

Kain

If your TV picture is breaking up, cutting in and out, or pixelating (looks like everything is a bunch of squares), then you probably are experiencing a weak signal. Check all of the connections from the wall to your cable box and from the cable box to your TV to ensure that all connections are tight.
